How many Parts do you get

Hi - new to the Game but loving it.

Question - how many Parts do you get per encounter? In Q1 my first encounter was with 4 Giant Ants. I defeated them and rolled on P1 to get Giant Ant legs.

So this counts as ONE of the three Parts I need for the Quest. - OK with this.

BUT they are also worth 14 gp each. Have I collected 4 legs (= 4 Ants) or just 1 leg?

The same happened a bit later when I encountered a pack of rats and got some claws.
