can you clarify how the SG stat works in space combat and the verbage used as well as the modifications.
the pdf under damage for space combat reads "The player then deducts the target starship’s Shield Generator (SG) from the total"
if the combat is against an interceptor with an SG of -1 is the rule telling me to do damge - (-1) which is = +1 or does decucting the value of -1 just mean subtract one from the damage pool?
Second if the latter case of negative SG values is true ( SG -3 actually decreases the damage by 3) are the modifications which + SG supposed to subtract SG instead?
If I was to buy the Dreadnought with an SG of -6 am I automatically taking +6 damage until I buy modifications that get my SG stat higher?
Hi Maxwell, below are some answers top your questions
FIrst: The SG value is deducting from the damage pool.
Second: The modification will increase the negative value. So SG of -2 that has a modification fitted that has +2 will result in a SG of -4.
Hope this helps.
