I'd like to start a post of useful practical tips to play D100 from the book to paper (no mapping game).
I found 2 after a few games...
1. I often find myself losing track of time and second guess myself if I have marked a time unit or not. Since that's a big part of the resource management, I draw the room with number lower left, color upper right, search completed in upper left and 1 dot for every unit of time spent in the room (1 upon entry, 1 or 2 for many search results, 1 each time I have to retrace steps through the room, etc).
Using that method, I have an easy method to audit time spent in each room and keep time accurately.
2. I keep a spreadsheet on the side rather than a character sheet to keep track of everything. It's especially useful for calculating the value of sold items, keeping backpack/belt slots straight, and updating investments
Please let me know your tips for keeping track of information in the game or otherwise improving ease of play.
