Hello, again. :)
I have a few new questions, regarding data chips at Uranographers, operations, jump lanes and the captain's reputation.
If a data chip is found during a Port Phase and we already have an operation generated somewhere in a star system not yet generated, can we choose that star system for the navigational info on the data chip, or do we have to roll for a random hex for every data chip and hope we eventually roll to fully generate the blank star system where the operation is? It might take a while... or forever 😀, and the operation would probably expire.
When rolling for operations at Military Bases, can we roll up to Rep value operations per system (i.e. rep 4= four possible operations in one system), or is every new operation roll for a different random hex in the sector?
If a new Jump Lane in a border star system goes off the hex map, do we automatically upgrade it to a Deep Space Jump Lane or do we just leave it incomplete and only upgrade it once we find a data chip at Uranographers?
Thanks!
Hi Mihail,
Here are the answers and sorry for taking so long to reply:
As per the rules, you have to roll. However, as the star systems fill up the sector, it will not take as long, as you re-roll the star systems that have already been generated.
Each visit to a military dock is a maximum number of check rolls up to the Rep value and can be for the same hex. So, you can choose 1 star system and make four rolls for an operation there, if your rep is 4.
You leave it incomplete and can upgrade it with a Deep Space Hyper Jump Data Chip.
Good luck in the darkness of space!
