With the recent outbreak of COVID-19, the world is (rightly) creating isolation among its citizens and this could reflect the way we can get hold of printed books. With D100 Dungeon it has always been my intention to support the many printing companies within the print on demand industry. The more printed books ordered for their business, the longer they will be able to offer their remarkable service. I have never been an advocate of reading from a screen (aside from novels). Instructions and rule books have never been (for me) an ideal solution, with so many pages requiring to be book marked, trying to replicate it on a device is (for me) far too slow. Fingers and note paper between pages (for me) being a much quicker solution. With all this in mind, I have pushed for the hardback and softback books to be professionally printed and bound by the services offered. This has always been my intention for D100 Dungeon, and the pdf as a medium for players that wish to use it on a device only. I have always used the "no print" option for the digital pdf's, where I offer a printed book format. However, in recent light of the continual spread of COVID-19, and that it may be harder to get printed services in some area, should I relax this to allow for home printing? Either indefinitely?, or for the short time? until the crisis has settled down and the world has returned back to some kind of normality. I have received many bad comments and ill wishes (some offensive) in my support of the print on demand services, and the decision to restrict printing (which I add, is not fail proof). So I would like to ask the D100 Dungeon community as a whole, should home printing be an option for D100 Dungeon? would its introduction affect you buying a print on demand copy? Please answer this post honestly and with your views from the following options by replying with the number of your chosen response.
If the D100 Dungeon digital pdf was printable, I would .......
1 - .......... only buy the digital pdf, and never print it, I only play digitally.
2 - .......... only buy the digital pdf, and print on my home/office printer.
3 - .......... only buy the digital pdf, and get it printed by a local printers.
4 - .......... buy the the digital pdf, and still order a printed book from the services available.
5 - .......... buy either a hardback or softback book from the services available, I don't need a digital PDF.
